Thanks to other reviews, I knew to take the elevator to the 2nd floor. They're located to the right as you exit the elevator. You're greeted with a well lit display of all their desserts. And two large menus in a wall nearby. I first went at 2pm and had no wait to place my order. We went on a Tuesday and tried their street tacos. $3 for Taco Tuesday, usually $6. We got 2 Birria, 1 Chicken, and 1 fish. They were amazing! The 3" tortilla was crisp and the fillings were tasty. The Birria was soft, moist, and tasty. The fish was fried and I loved the cabbage and lime. The chicken was grilled and smoky. The second time I went for lunch at 11:30. There were 3 parties ahead of us but the line moved quickly; less than 10 min. wait. I had the Birria crunch wrap and my friends had their Thai food. We all enjoyed our food. The noodles were a big portion- easily a meal for 2! The crunch wrap was sized and wrapped similar to Taco Bell's. The flavor and included compote were so satisfying and much cleaner to eat than Birria tacos! For dessert we had the puffies and the supreme cronuts. The fillings were whipped and not too sweet. The puffies had great crunch and the filling ratio was perfect in my opinion. The cronuts reminded me of a kougin-amann and I'd prefer it with more filling. Still tasty none the less!

The cream puffs are absolutely the way to go! They sell out quick but you can call ahead to make an order. I enjoyed the ube and vanilla ones. They are cream filled but I love the chantilly top. Chantilly is my favorite and an ube chantilly is just to die for. They do validate parking so you'll be all good to pop into the parking lot and grab and go.

So I decided to give this place another try as they moved to a much closer location to my office and I'm glad to give it another shot. Located in Restaurant Row, Aloha Mamacita offers a mix of mexican cuisine, Thai food, local food and local desserts. Sure it sounds odd but this place offers a great amount of selections if you're feeling a bit conflicted on what to have for lunch. The quality of the food has improved from my last review. My usual go to order is anything with birria; tacos, "crunchwrap", fries, nachos, and yes, their birria bombs. The flavor of the birria meat has significantly improved as it is rich and full of savory flavor. Although the food may take a while to cook, don't let that dissuade you as it is worth the wait. The improved flavors, the diverse menu makes Aloha Mamacita, and friendly staff is a place worth checking out. As of right now, you can only order take out. There is a place reserved with a big sign saying the restaurant coming soon but it's been well over a year(ish) that I have been waiting.

So far I came here for desserts. If you're not familiar with the Waterfront Tower or the former Restaurant Row, they are located on the Ewa end of the parking lot just next to the elevators or stairs leading into the center area of the towers and businesses from the 2nd level. They may open the restaurant area later on the 1st floor but for now they are in a small place across the security office. It's another option than cupcakes at Hokulani. They have Cat panna cotta, Creme Brulee or Fruit Tarts, Aloha Puffy, Spiral Croissant that reminds me of Kouign Amann and other desserts. Everything I tried was delicious and different. The desserts make nice gifts for friends' birthday or pastries for the office. Last I know that they give 2.5 hrs parking validations for at least $10 of purchase. Some other places may give validation for minimum of $5 purchase. They offer extensive menu of food of Thai/Mexican, poke bowls and more. I heard it was quite a wait time for the food, but I need to come back to try. There's so many items on the menu that I want to try! Desserts were amazing and their food looks so good too!
